It is as if the nature of the insecurities encircling our planet are driving tens of thousands of single people to find some certainty in a loving relationship within the arms of a loved and special other.

It is not so difficult to understand this phenomenon. If so much that we have taken for granted as stable and secure suddenly becomes and in a remarkably short space of time not to be as we assumed, or as it seemed to be, we look to create our own security.

The beauty and attraction of online dating is the possibility of connecting with a huge number of possible mates in a very short period of time. By the law of averages this clearly must increase the chances of finding a compatible partner.

Another attraction with online dating is that unlike traditional dating you can get to know a lot about someone before you even meet. As a consequence you can learn far more about the all important compatibility you share with your possible partner sooner rather than later.

In times of difficulty the family has always been the one place of refuge that can be relied upon. Much as a ship will try to find safe shelter before a storm the family can be that haven of safety and security in which to weather the storm. It is becoming clearer by the day that we currently face, what is very possibly an unprecedented period of change and uncertainty and if one of the 21st centuries greatest life changing technological advances, the global acceptence of the internet can help in these difficult times, then it must be something to be thankful for.
